Total Cook Time: 9 hours
Ingredients:
Whole Brisket
JJ's Sweet Rub
JJ's Sweet Heat
2 Cups Beef Broth
Instructions:
1. Preheat Smoker to 165*F
2. Trim whole brisket
3. Thoroughly apply JJ's Sweet Heat to one side of brisket and JJ's Sweet Rub to other side
*Note how much seasoning is used! When you think you have enough, use more. Because our JJ's Sweet Rubs are low sodium content, you can apply generously. This will give your brisket a crisp, caramelized crust.
4. Place seasoned brisket directly on smoker and cook for 4 hours at 165*F
5. Bump the smoker temperature to 185*F. Let cook until internal temperature of the brisket reaches 160* (about 2 hours)
6. Remove brisket from smoker and place in aluminum pan with the beef brother. Cover with aluminum foil.
7. Raise the smoker temperature to 250*F. Return the brisket pan to smoker and cook until internal temperature of brisket reaches 205*F
8. Remove from smoker and let rest 30 minutes
9. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Pair with your favorite BBQ side! We enjoyed mashed potatoes and green beans.
